Potted Orchid Garden ( 组合盆花设计 ) The idea is to create a potted orchid l garden design impact for a specific space of reception for hotels or offices. Participants have a choice of their own containers, pots, dish, bowl or any form of structure within the dimensions specified below, in achieving a distinctive design concept. Condition of plants & flowers and other materials shall be monitored and maintained to maximize its lifespan for the 10 days exhibition. • A “Title” is to be adopted and it will be displayed on the description card. • NO restriction in height, but the base of the design should NOT exceed 500mm width. • Potted Garden MUST comprise the following : 70% of fresh material - potted plants used should feature a combination of minimum 2 genera with a composition of 8 or more varieties of orchid plants, with 30% of others elements of rocks, drift wood or structure. Miniature accessories are allowed. • Mechanical aids ( e.g. wires etc. ) are allowed, but should not be visible to the eye. • Design piece must be created by the participant. • Displays need to be fully completed & displayed at the designated competition zone at the ORCHID PAVILION before 6.00 pm on 28th May 2015 ( Thursday ). • Judging will commence on 29th May 2015 ( Friday ). • Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained. • Winners will be announced on the official opening on 30th June 2015 ( Saturday ). • Participants need to dismantle and clear away ALL their design and displayed materials on 08th June 2015 ( Monday ) between 9.00am - 5.00pm. Space Details Open floor area with two different choices in heights of display cubical stands W 1000mm X D 500mm X H 1000mm ( Tall unit ) & H 750mm ( Low unit ) cubical stand. Description board ( on cubical stand ). Winners will receive a trophy, certificate and cash prizes of RM 400.00, RM 300.00 and RM 200.00 for the Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively and 2 discretionary Merit Award will receive a certificate and cash prize of RM 100.00 each.
